Happy sunny Sunday, everyone!
I wanted to pop-in today with the reminder that connection trumps perfection when it comes to our well-being. Obviously the majority of what I post about on here is health tips, holistic nutrition, and living in alignment with your cycle. As a girl who has been through the wringer with her health, I know that you are nothing when your body doesn’t feel well. However there was a time that even when I was doing everything “right” with my health and nutrition, I still didn’t feel well. As soon as I loosened my reins a little and allowed more imperfection in my life, I surprisingly began to feel better and better. I credit that to the importance of connection and laughter and the benefits it has on the nervous system.
I strongly believe that living in alignment with our cycle, eating blood sugar balanced, nutrient dense meals, prioritizing rest, and getting sunlight are key factors in hormone balance and feeling good. The cool news is, you don’t need to do that all every single day to reap the benefits. In fact, I encourage a more flexible approach, like the 80/20 method. Spend 80% of your week making mindful choices that support your body, cycle, and mind—whether that's syncing your workouts with your cycle, preparing nutrient-rich meals, taking a meditation class, or going to bed at a reasonable hour. Then, let the remaining 20% be about indulging in what your soul truly craves—knowing that your body is resilient and capable because of the care you consistently provide it.
Here’s a little blurb in my e-book From Force to Flow touching on the same message!
All this to say, sometimes drinking wine with friends and staying out later then you’re used to, truly is the best thing that you can do for your health! Balance is awesome, life is fun, and it is so cool how the body rewards you when you find your sweet spot!
I’ll be sending out the cycle aligned meal plan to paid subscribers later today so if you haven’t already:
